Sound healing should be an artistic synthesis of beauty, harmony and inspiration. Sound healing is an expression of love. The soul must be nourished and given hope for the body to heal.
The art of sound healing is to create a resonance between the higher self and the body. This resonance initiates recognition, understanding, knowledge, restoration, re-centering and finally self healing.
The key word is resonance.
In everyday life there are many circumstances which can activate a resonance with higher aspects of yourself such as meeting an inspiring person, being moved by the beauty of an unusual landscape, a sunset or the blue of the Mediterranean sea, or by listening to beautiful music, to the wind in the forest, or to the song of a bird.
Love, music and nature offer the most sublime and uplifting possibilities of resonance. When this resonance is blocked we suffer; we are out of balance with the higher aspects of ourselves.
Seeking elevated experiences and allowing ourselves to be touched and moved by the beauty in life will certainly start the natural process of our own healing and evolution.

We use natural, acoustic Sound Healing instruments, created by Fabien Maman, that are specific to our work: Classical Steel Tuning Forks®, TEP Chakra Tubes® and Tama-Do Sacred Sound Instruments®, which include the gigantic Pyramid of Sound®, Sacred Arch of Sound®, and Sacred Bagwa of Sound®
In addition to these magnificent Sound Healing Instruments, Tama-Do Academy uses acoustic musical instruments and elemental sounds to harmonize the chakras and subtle bodies (aura) in our Tama-Do Sound Harmonization®.
Music Therapy, based on the research of Alfred Tomatis, uses all forms of music (acoustic and electronic) that enter through the ear into the brain to change the moods of the people.
We do not work with Music Therapy, as defined, because it is not precise enough. It also includes electronic music, which we do not use in Tama-Do Academy.
Electronic sound and music has nothing to do with sound healing because it cannot nourish the aura - it has no overtone.
Sound Healing happens when the overtones of an acoustic instrument or elemental sound opens space in the energy field (aura) of the person. It is in that safe space that the Light can be received. Overtones from an acoustic instrument or elemental sound is like a natural wave of sound - lapping on the shore. Our energy field recognizes the natural sounds and naturally opens by resonance, to receive the messages. We breathe with the life - and through the breath, we live and heal!

Fabien Maman has developed several different musical scales for Sound Healing in the Academy. It all depends on what level we are working.
On the physical body, with our Classical Steel Tuning Forks on acupuncture meridians, we use the “equal tempered chromatic scale” to feed the organs, cells and DNA. The chromatic tempered scale (like the black and white keys on the piano) offers a density that corresponds with the physical body.
If you are a real musician, you use this scale to create music. Our bodies, for centuries now, correspond to this scale.
To harmonize the chakras, we use the Cycle of Fifths, which bridges the gap between physical and non physical, visible and non visible.
If we want to harmonize the subtle energy field (aura) outside the physical body (and without touching the physical body), we use Pythagoras’ overtone progression (harmonic scale), as it is found in the natural sounds of the elements and nature.
Each of these musical scales have one thing in common: there is a Classical, mathematical relationship between each note. This is fundamental for sound healing.
If there is no relationship, there is no coherence.
If there is no coherence, there is no harmony.
If there is no harmony, there is no space for sound healing to occur.
Divinely Guided and grounded in the classical traditions of music, mathematics, astrology and Chinese medicine, Fabien Maman, over a course of 40 years, has created beautiful Sound Healing Instruments to ground the Soul in the daily life.
Fabien Maman is the one who first created the now famous technique of using tuning forks and color lights on acupuncture points instead of needles for healing.

Fabien Maman developed a system of correspondences between the elements, meridians, chakras, directions and stars and the musical key, mode, instrument, rhythm and energy of each season. We play these concerts every season!
